Day 1‚Äč
Ayu-bowan! Welcome to Sri Lanka

Your adventure begins in the town of Negombo, located close to Colombo International Airport. You can arrive at any time on day one as there are no activities planned until the welcome meeting at 6pm. Those arriving early can get into the spirit of seaside Sri Lanka by heading to the beach to watch the local fishermen, exploring the local countryside by bicycle or just chilling by the pool.

At 5pm, you’ll meet your fellow travellers and to go through the trip itinerary while enjoying a welcome beer as the sun sets, before heading out to dinner.

Day 2
Sigiriya at sunset

Today we’ll travel to Sigiriya, taking in the magnificent views as we make our way inland. Make sure you keep your eyes peeled for wild elephants along the way! We’ll stop en route for a delicious local lunch, giving you a chance to sample some of Sri Lanka's local dishes.

After checking into our luxury jungle hideaway, get ready for adventure as we take on the Pidurangala Rock Hike. This challenging trek will give you the chance to bond with your fellow travellers as we help each other to the summit. Located adjacent to Sigiriya Rock, Pidurangala Rock has a much more natural feel and from the top, we’ll take in the 360-degree views as the sun goes down.

Back at the hotel, a refreshing beer will hit the spot before we hit the hotel restaurant for dinner.

Day 3
Elephant encounters

On your bikes, crew! This morning we’ll head out on a cycling tour of the local villages where we’ll experience rural life and meet some locals along the way. People in this area rely on farming for their livelihoods, so we’ll be cycling through vegetable fields, rice paddies and we may even see some wildlife as well.

We’ll have a traditional lunch at a local farmer’s house and then we’re off on a wildlife safari in Minneriya National Park to see wild elephants.

Day 4
Summit Sigiriya Rock

Today we’ll make an early start to visit one of the highlights of any trip to Sri Lanka, the magnificent palace of Sigiriya (Lion Rock). This dramatic rocky outcrop, rising from the surrounding plains, has a ruined palace at its summit. On the way up, we’ll visit the water garden, boulder garden, Sigiriya Frescos and the mirror wall. It's a good workout, but well worth the effort.

Once we get back to the hotel, it’s time to kick back and relax, enjoy a swim while taking in the beautiful green surroundings or treat yourself to an Ayurvedic spa treatment.

Day 5
Hello Hill Country

Today we leave Sigiriya behind as we make our way towards Sri Lanka’s lush Hill Country.

Your Hill Country experience wouldn’t be complete without a trip to a tea plantation, so this afternoon we’ll participate in a tea tour and tasting as well as trying our hand at tea plucking, along with the local plantation workers.

From there, we'll head to our hotel in Haputale for some downtime and dinner in the evening.

Day 6
Hill Country Hiking

After loading up on breakfast while taking in the sweet views from your Hill Country home, we’ll transfer to the nearby city of Ella for another hike with stunning views.

You'll also get to enjoy a walk to Nine Arch Bridge, passing the town’s cafes and enjoying some snacks or chilled beer along the way.

Once back at the hotel, you’ll have some time to relax, have a swim or do some more exploring before dinner.

Day 7
All aboard!

After breakfast, we’ll make our way down to Sri Lanka’s south coast where our sailing adventure will begin.

We’ll arrive at the picturesque and colourful Mirissa Fisheries Harbour in the afternoon. Once onboard, we’ll take a short cruise to the stunning Weligama Bay, where we’ll relax and have dinner under the stars.

Day 8
The Dutch Fort of Galle

After waking up from your first night’s sleep onboard, we’ll tuck into breakfast. Then we’ll set sail to Jungle beach in Galle. We’ll take a dinghy to the beach and take a walk around this UNESCO colonial fort city. Back on board, we’ll have chance to swim and chill out before dinner with a view of Jungle beach.

Day 9
Sailing towards Tallala

Today we set sail towards the beautiful Tallala Beach. With its white sand and turquoise waters, Tallala Beach is a sheltered cove in the shape of a crescent, lined by palm trees and is about two kilometers long. Little-known by tourists, it’s likely we could have this beach entirely to ourselves! It’s the perfect place to lay down our anchor and spend the day swimming, SUP-ing or just relaxing on the deck.

Day 10
Virgin beaches and a seafood feast

Today we’ll set sail towards the unspoiled beaches of Kudawella. You can choose to head to the small fishing village of Kudawella to explore the local temples or spend the day relaxing, swimming and fishing on the boat.

Since this area is famous for fresh seafood, tonight your crew will prepare a feast of locally caught delicacies for dinner.

Day 11
The golden beaches of Tangalle

Making our way to Tangalle today, we’ll experience one of Sri Lanka’s most stunning stretches of beaches. From our anchorage, we can explore the nearby beaches of Dickwella, Hiriketiya and Mawella.

We’ll spend the day swimming and snorkelling in the tropical waters, exploring the small local villages or just soaking up the sun.

Day 12
Whale watching

Wakey wakey! We have an early start this morning as we set sail towards the coast of Dondra and Mirissa to observe the many species of whales, including the world’s largest mammal - the blue whale, as well as plenty of playful dolphins.

We’ll tuck into breakfast and lunch during the cruise and then spend the afternoon relaxing on the beach of Mirissa where you could also have a go at surfing.

Tonight will be our final meal on board, and we’ll make it a special one!

Day 13
Colombo calling

Shortly after breakfast it’s time to say goodbye to our crew and meet back up with our guide for our final day. From Mirissa, we’ll drive to Colombo and once we arrive in Sri Lanka's capital city, we’ll take a walking tour, allowing you to experience the local architecture and culture, including the Dutch reformed church, the insta-worthy Red Mosque and Buddhist and Hindu temples.

There’ll be time for a quick swim in the hotel’s rooftop pool before our farewell dinner at a Colombo favourite.

Day 14
So long, Sri Lanka!

Today we say goodbye to Sri Lanka and to our fellow travellers. You can depart at any time on this day.
